Care Suggestions

Cleaning medical sheepskin requires a gentle touch to preserve its natural softness and quality.

Here's a guideline for caring for medical sheepskin:

WASHING
Machine wash at 40°C using a gentle, non-aggressive/wool detergent. For hand washing, use a mild/wool detergent and avoid vigorous agitation. Avoid spinning cycle.

DRYING
Air dry away from direct sunlight by stretching the sheepskin to its original shape. You can also tumble dry on a cool cycle. The wool fibres may curl and the pelt may firm up slightly after washing. Avoid wringing or twisting the sheepskin.

DRY CLEANING
Medical sheepskins can also be dry cleaned if necessary. Ensure the dry cleaner is aware that the sheepskin is chrome-free.

AVOID CHROME CHEMICALS
Ensure that you are using products compatible with the chrome-free tanning process to maintain the sheepskin’s quality.

ODOUR AND HYPOALLERGENIC CARE
Regular washing will help keep the sheepskin odourless and hypoallergenic. Use mild/wool detergents to prevent buildup of strong scents.

CLEANING FREQUENCY
Clean regularly to avoid excessive moisture buildup. Sheepskins are designed to handle frequent washing, but always follow proper drying methods.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Store in a cool, dry place to avoid unnecessary wear and tear. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
